No, absolutely not! 95% of our customers use their smartphones (iPhone or Android). The back camera of modern phones is powerful enough to capture the details of your iris.
2. What if my photo isn't good enough?
Don't worry. Our design team reviews every single photo manually before production. If your photo is too blurry or dark, we will email you immediately and guide you on how to take a better one. We will never print a photo that doesn't meet our quality standards.
3. How do I take the best photo?
It's simple: Use your phone's back camera, turn on the flashlight (this is key!), and hold the phone steady about 5-10 cm away from the eye. We will also send you a detailed "Photo Guide" email after your purchase.
4. Is the frame battery-operated or plugged in?
Our illuminated frames are USB-powered. This ensures a consistent, bright glow without the need to constantly change batteries. You can plug it into any phone charger, power bank, or laptop.
5. Can I combine eyes from different photos?
Yes! You don't need to be in the same room (or even the same country) as your partner. Just upload two separate photos, and our artists will merge them into one beautiful composition.
